America First, for Real People

1
Stop the Price Gouging & Fix Supply Chains
Georgians are paying too much for gas, groceries, and housing. It’s not just "inflation"- it’s corporate opportunism. Michael supports a federal ban on price gouging for essential goods during economic crises.

Furthermore, we need to bring supply chains home.
-
Make it in America: Tax incentives for companies that manufacture in Georgia, not overseas.
-
Energy Independence: An "all-of-the-above" energy strategy that lowers gas prices while investing in Georgia’s growing battery belt.
2
Rural Healthcare Stabilization
When a rural hospital closes, a town dies. In District 1, we have counties with zero OBGYNs. That is unacceptable.
Georgians pay federal taxes that go to healthcare in other states while our hospitals shut down. Michael will fight to bring those dollars back to Georgia to keep our hospitals and emergency rooms open. Michael proposes:
-
A "Rural Health Lifeline" bill that changes Medicare reimbursement rates for hospitals serving populations under 50,000.
-
Capping insulin at $35 for everyone, not just seniors, and allowing Medicare to negotiate all prescription drug prices immediately.
3
Ban Congressional Stock Trading
You can’t serve the people if you’re serving your portfolio.

Members of Congress routinely outperform the stock market because they have information you don’t.

If you want to trade stocks, go to Wall Street. If you want to serve, go to Washington. You shouldn't do both.

Michael will co-sponsor legislation on Day 1 to ban individual stock trading for members of Congress and their immediate families.

4
Honor Our Veterans with Action
With bases like Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, our district is home to heroes. But the VA backlog is a national disgrace. Michael wants to streamline the transition from active duty to civilian life, and proposes:
-
Automatic Enrollment: VA benefits should auto-enroll upon discharge. No paperwork, no fighting for what you earned.
-
Mental Health: Expand mental health vouchers allowing veterans to see private providers if the VA wait time exceeds 14 days.

5
Protecting the Environment and Coastal Waterways
Our coast is vital to Georgia’s economy, from tourism to the Port of Savannah. Yet flooding, stronger storms, and outdated infrastructure keep putting homes and businesses at risk. This is about protecting people and property, not politics. Michael will push for federal investment in:
-
Upgraded drainage and storm-water systems
-
Stronger levees and flood barriers
-
Wetland restoration and natural storm buffers
-
Fair FEMA access for working-class families

An " All of the Above"
Energy Policy
Georgia needs reliable, affordable power. Michael supports an all-of-the-above energy strategy, utilizing natural gas, nuclear, solar, and emerging technologies to strengthen American energy independence and keep costs down for working families.

As Georgia sees rapid growth in energy-intensive industries like large data centers, Michael believes those corporations must help cover the true cost of the power they require, so families and small businesses aren’t left footing the bill.
Michael will fight to modernize the electric grid to withstand severe weather, and ensure new energy development creates good-paying Georgia jobs, delivering savings for consumers, not just profits for out-of-state corporations.
