Michael McCord –
A Candidate with Broad Appeal

McCord represents something coastal Georgia hasn’t seen in a while;
a Blue Dog Democrat who didn’t just read about working class struggles, he lived them. He’s won tough races, built a successful business from scratch, and proven he can deliver real results.

A Relatable, Working-Class  Voice

While other kids his age were figuring out college plans, McCord was working double shifts in manufacturing to pay the bills. To create the change he wished to see, McCord turned to Democratic politics in 2008, working tough races from coast to coast.  By 2020, he was running Southern strategy for Tim Ryan’s presidential bid -the kind of job you only get when party leaders know you can turn tough districts blue.

Background in Small Business

As a small-business owner, Michael McCord understands the struggles that working families face, especially in rural areas. His consulting work isn’t about big corporate deals- it’s about helping the local restaurant owner navigate supply chain costs or showing a family how to cut through insurance red tape. Last year, that hands-on approach saved his clients over $3.5 million.

Appeal to Rural Voters

McCord stands out from other Democrats in this race with his centrist tone and ability to bridge the divide between urban and rural areas. While other Democrats are focusing solely on progressive policies and urban voters, McCord is on the ground, with the people. His outreach and platform addresses the unique needs of rural Georgians, uniting voters who would otherwise be on opposite sides of the aisle.

Michael isn’t the type to run a campaign from behind a desk. Over the past few months he’s been on the road, in the neighborhoods, and in the rooms where real conversations, with real people, happen.

From sunrise coffees in small towns to late-night meet-and-greets hours apart, to lively church services, Michael has been logging five and six events a day across the district. He’s canvassing neighborhoods, waving signs on back roads, hosting living-room meetings, and showing up to every community event possible.

A tireless team player, Michael is also helping local candidates, standing alongside grassroots leaders, and taking his message to conservative podcasts to talk about kitchen-table economics and accountability.

Through showing up and doing the work, Michael has earned endorsements from small-town mayors, former congressional candidates, and members of Congress. When small businesses needed a voice, he held press conferences, fought for Main Street, and pushed back against the Democratic mayor of Savannah to protect local jobs and entrepreneurs.

Through all of this, Michael is still working full-time, running his consulting firm and serving small businesses across the Southeast. Staying connected to the people who actually make the economy run isn’t a talking point for Michael- it's his day job.

If you’ve seen a happy campaign dog on the trail- that’s Lincoln! Lincoln has met voters in parking lots, sat in on strategy sessions, and happily accepted more head scratches than any dog should reasonably be allowed.
